Larry was born in Gadsden, Alabama, but has lived most of his life in Huntsville, Alabama. After graduating from Huntsville High School, he matriculated at Samford University in Birmingham, receiving a degree in economics, with honors. The following fall, he enrolled at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. After graduation from Cumberland, he sat for the Alabama bar exam, passed and was admitted to practice law in Alabama courts. Since then, he has been admitted to practice in numerous other courts.
